HP TouchSmart TX2Z Tablet 12” Laptop

Have you seen the HP TouchSmart TX2Z Laptop? The 12” notebook has a touch sensitive screen that swivels 180 degrees and lays flat to make a tablet pad. This intrigued me and with the included stylus pen you can convert handwritten notes to text and surf the web with your finger. The notebook (HP Online Store) has 64-bit Windows Vista and has a resolution of 1280 x 800 so makes for a fun gadget to own.

Today, Amazon announced the Kindle DX with the large 9.7” screen for $489. The original Kindle 6” Screen at $359 Kindle DX Large Screen – 9.7 Inch is geared for reading books and the larger Kindle DX 4GB is aimed at reading newspapers and textbooks and holds 3,500 books. To be honest, the unit seems a little pricey and displays at 1200 x 824 in gray scale.

Ahh, power plants and research labs, Radiologists? Anyway regardless of magnetic fields, I really like this watch and is self winding, waterproof to 100 meters and a very sharp watch by Rolex!

Hermes Leather Notebook

I am a big fan of moleskin notebooks and fine leather goods. This Leather notebook by Hermes is simplicity in design but with loads of style. Of course you need a $310 7.5” x 9” notebook for all those great ideas right. If you are working on that next ‘Google” “Facebook” “Twitter” idea it may just make those plans a little sharper. It comes in a variety of colors and refills are available from Hermes.
