I listen to music everyday from morning till night and use Pandora, Rhapsody & Sirius to satisfy my needs. The issue of a portable speaker has been a problem as I wanted a solution that works with the iPhone & Sirius Stiletto (via earphone jack) and would support the device or viewing. Find out why this $15 iHome iHM10 speaker has become my pick of the week (watch video review) and the story of how I found it.

Why did I Buy This?
It’s a good question as normally I wouldn’t be interested in a product from iHome based on quality, sound reproduction and overall impression of the iHome iPod clock radios (However, I am now a big fan of iHome and ready to test more products!). I was in Marshall’s (department store) and was looking for some sweats and saw a display of iPod, iPhone adapters, speakers, cases, etc. A little silver package caught my eye and said compare at $30 our price $14.99. At first thought I remembered trying cheap speakers in the past and being really disappointed. I already have a cool JBL portable speaker (can’t seem to locate it) and was time for a replacement that could position the phone for viewing TV and movies on the iPhone in either vertical or horizontal mode. Also I wanted efficient battery life as the JBL only lasted a couple hours.

What makes it Cool!
• Battery Life is exceptional (used everyday for over 2 weeks on same 4 AA batteries. Enough said!
• Sound Quality – really had decent bass and treble and knocks out the sound at a good volume. EXB circuitry for expanded bass
• Allows you to listen to Pandora from your iphone anytime and anywhere I want! From shower to kitchen to playing music while reading to my daughter.
• Earphone jack – use any device with any device
• 1 on/off switch – nothing fancy
• The base is tilted with a rubber strip to position phone either in vertical or horizontal position.
• The price – $15 wow
• Comes in multiple colors (I assume this was meant for teens originally)
• Highly portable and lightweight! Dimensions: 5.27″ W x 2.83″ H x 3.58″ D

What I would like added to future products like this
• Ability to have an internal lithium rechargeable battery
• Battery meter
• Retractable headphone cord
• Volume Control on speaker itself
Overall a fun and useful portable speaker for personal and business use (hotel room on trips). With a great sound, superior battery life, $15 price point and ability to work with multiple devices I give it 2 thumbs up! Buy It!
