Rolex Milgauss Steel Watch – Magnet Resistant

At first look I appreciated the Rolex Milgauss Oyster Perpetual Watch design. Upon further inspection I realized it is resistant to a magnetic flux density of 1,000 gauss. Ok, who was this built for?
