XShot Monopod 2.0 | Be in the Video!

Recently I received an xshot 2.0 monopod which allows you to put yourself in a photo or video by yourself. The concept is to connect to the bottom of your flip video camera or digital camera, extend the 9" telescoping pole and take the shot from 37" away. It's that easy. I often attend trade shows and now have a camera crew with me at all times!

The Killer Trade Show Kit (XShot 2.0, Iphone adapter, iPhone, Flip Cam)

This week I will be attending Affiliate Summit, a trade show in Las Vegas and will be using the XShot Camera extender to video the show and conduct informal interviews. Overall the product is well designed, lightweight and extremely useful (thank you XShot for the demo unit). If you use the iPhone the ability to take photos or videos on your own is worth the investment. If you purchase an xshot it helps me buy more gadgets - so thanks

Canon EOS 40D Digital Camera on Steroids

What a great camera by Canon, the EOS 40D takes amazing images at incredible processing speeds. The heart of the camera is the 10.1M CMOS sensor and the Digic III processor. It’s a fancy way of saying it shoots at 6.5fps (yes, frames per second). My question is, how can you miss the shot with this digital camera? It also has stabilization and cleaning system.

The resolution is amazing as well. Here are some stats – RAW Image: Approx. 12.4 MB (3888 x 2592 pixels) and sRAW (Small RAW): Approx. 7.1 MB (1936 x 1288 pixels). If you have the means this is a great way to go!

I was looking for video gear and came across this Epic Stealth video camera and took a closer look. Inside is a 5 MP Still Image Digital Camera & 30 FPS Video Camera with SD Card access. The unit is waterproof and YouTube ready. At $139, who cares if it takes great images at it just sounds fun to own! Strap it on your bike handlebars, helmet, you get the idea!

I saw this camera at the Sony store and was amazed at what they pack in a tiny and stylish package. It really is the perfect travel companion as it is both a portable high definition digital camcorder with stabilization but also a 4MP digital camera with Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lenses. Capable of Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution video at 10x optical!

The Slim and lightweight design is only 8oz without the battery and the HDR-TG1’s body is constructed of high-quality pure titanium. If you have the money buy this and can’t think of another camera in its size that competes with it!
